About Horley Car Recovery

One local firm, more than one driver, one number to ring. You are dealing with the people who do the work, not a call centre.

  • More than one driver, so a truck can be free when you ring.
  • No breakdown cover needed.
  • Cash, bank transfer or PayPal.
  • 24/7, day or night.
  • Price agreed before we set off.

You are speaking to the firm that turns up

The people who answer the phone are the people who send a driver out.

You book with our firm directly. Tell us the vehicle, problem, location and destination so we can confirm the right arrangements.

Here you get one conversation. We hear where you are, we tell you what it costs, and then a driver turns up. If the plan changes on the way you hear it from us, not from a text message.

The trucks

We use flatbed recovery trucks. The driver checks the vehicle, access and a suitable loading and securing method before the job is accepted.

Tell us about the transmission, ground clearance, modifications and any accident damage. Manufacturer requirements vary, so the method and equipment must suit the actual vehicle.

Tell us what is damaged and whether the vehicle rolls, steers or has locked wheels. We check the loading method, access and truck capacity before accepting the recovery.

What we will and will not take on

Being straight about the limits is part of the job. There is no point turning up to something a flatbed was never going to handle.

  • Suitable cars, vans, pickups, 4x4s and motorbikes, after weight, loading and access checks
  • Runners and non-runners, before or after a knock
  • Booked transport around Surrey, Sussex, south London and the edge of Kent
  • Not lorries, not HGVs, not heavy recovery
  • Not long distance work, because we stay on the local patch
  • Not wrong fuel, which needs a tank drained by somebody who does that properly

When a job is not for us we will say so on the phone and point you at somebody who does it. That costs us a booking and saves you a wasted afternoon.

If you would rather ask than read, the contact page has what to have ready when you ring.

Questions

About the business

Who will turn up?
One of our own drivers, in a flatbed. There is more than one of them and they all cover the same patch. You are booking with the firm that does the work, not a call centre.
Is this a big company?
No. It is a local firm with its own drivers, not a national network that sells your job on to a stranger. You speak to us and we do the work.
What will you not do?
HGV and heavy recovery are outside our service. Other vehicles need a weight, damage and access check before acceptance. Booked transport is usually within roughly 50 miles of Horley. Wrong fuel requires a specialist.
Can you handle more than one job at a time?
We have more than one driver. Availability depends on the jobs and suitable equipment at the time, so call for the current position.

Need a truck?

Tell us where you are and what the vehicle is doing. You get the price before we set off.
