Two main roads cross here. The A23 runs north to south, up through Merstham towards the M25 and down through Salfords towards Horley. The A25 runs east to west, out to Godstone one way and Reigate and Dorking the other.

The A25 and the town gyratory
The A25 runs east out of Redhill towards Nutfield and Godstone, and west towards Reigate. It is a single carriageway with few places to pull in, so a car that stops there tends to block something.
The town centre gyratory is the other awkward one. Traffic is heavy, the lanes commit you early, and a car that dies in the wrong one is a genuine problem rather than an inconvenience.
