Broken Down Without Breakdown Cover?
You do not need cover to get recovered. You can pay a local firm for the one job in front of you, today, and that is the end of it.
- More than one driver, so a truck can be free when you ring.
- No breakdown cover needed.
- Cash, bank transfer or PayPal.
- 24/7, day or night.
- Price agreed before we set off.

First, get yourself safe
Before anything about money or memberships. Hazards on, and as far to the left as you can get. Then out of the vehicle on the side away from traffic, if it is safe to be out at all.
On a motorway, reach a place of relative safety if you can and switch on your hazards. Leave the vehicle only if it is safe, using the side away from traffic, and wait away from the carriageway. If you cannot get out safely, stay belted in and call 999 for the police. Follow the official guidance before arranging recovery.
Your three options, honestly
1. Buy cover now and use it today
Tell the provider the vehicle has already broken down before buying cover. Ask whether the current fault is included or needs a separate one-off service.
Check any waiting period, exclusions and immediate-assistance fee before paying. Do not assume a new policy covers a fault that already exists.
2. One-off recovery from a national provider
Ask a national provider whether it offers help for your current situation without an existing membership, and what terms and charges apply.
Ask the provider what the price includes, who will attend, where the vehicle can be taken and whether there are restrictions for your vehicle.
3. Ring a local recovery firm directly
You can book with us directly. You describe the job to the person who is going to do it, you get a price for that job, and you pay once.
That is what this is. No membership, no annual fee, no waiting period, and nothing to cancel afterwards.
Check the limits of any existing cover
Before arranging a separate recovery, check these points with your provider:
- What happens if a roadside repair is not possible
- Recovery to the nearest garage rather than to your own, which may be shut
- Cover attached to a person rather than the vehicle, or the other way round
- A wait that has already gone on longer than the day allows
- A vehicle the policy does not cover, like a van used for work
None of that means cover is a waste of money. It means it is worth knowing what yours actually says before the day you need it.
Is cover worth having?
A fair question, and the answer is not the same for everybody.
Compare what a policy includes against how and where you use the vehicle. Price alone does not tell you whether it covers your situation.
A one-off recovery has no annual membership, but it covers only the agreed job. Check the destination, passengers, access and availability before booking.
What we will not do is tell you which provider to buy. That is a comparison site's job and they do it better than a recovery firm would.
How it works
What happens if you just ring us
Tell us where you are
Call or text with the location, what you are driving and what it is doing. A map pin is perfect if you have one.
Get the price first
We agree the job and price before the truck sets off. Any additional work is explained and agreed with you first.
The truck comes to you
Loaded properly, strapped down, and taken to your home, your garage or wherever you need it.
How a price is worked out
Where you are, where the vehicle is going, and what it takes to load it. We agree the job and price before setting off. Any additional work is explained and agreed with you first.
